Party Props 4 Tiny Tots has an ice cream shop/cart and outdoor setting to hire. The ice cream shop comes with a play kitchen, food and cash register.
To compliment the hire of this props here are some ideas for party games , activities and food.

Ice cream party activities
PLAY DOUGH ice cream:
Make this play dough in different colours and arrange it in a tray to look like neapolitan ice cream. Add some sensory accessories like an ice cream scoops, tong, fake ice cream cones, cookie cutters in different shapes, sundae cups, hundreds and thousands and sprinkles.
Easy and soft play dough recipe:
* 1 cup flour
* 1/3 cup of salt
* 1 Tbsp coconut oil
* 1.5 Tbsp cream of tartar
Add all the ingredients to a bowl, then to 1 cup of boiling water add a few drops of food colouring, mix the coloured water into the bowl stir really well, then add 1/3 cup of flour, stir well and add 1/3 cup of flour again. Mix well and then transfer to a chopping board to knead.
Store the play dough by wrapping it in glad wrap and placing it in a tight sealed container. The play dough stores well for months.
Let the kids roll their own ice cream balls and add sprinkles etc.!!!!

RAINBOW RICE ice cream:
Is easy to make and keeps for ages, just add food colouring to a bag with a little bit of vinegar. Make different colours so it looks like sprinkles.
POM POM ice cream:
Get ice cream sundae bowls and put different coloured pom poms in each bowl to imitate the various flavours. You can make ice cream cones out of brown cardboard and fill then with pom poms.
Kinetic sand is another great idea that can also be used in an ice cream bar set up for sensory play.
FOOD :Ice Cream Sundae Bar
Roll different flavours of ice cream the night before. Create an ice cream sundae bar. Some ideas for sundae topping are:
Fresh, seasonal fruit such as sliced banana, strawberries, shredded coconut, and glazed cherries.
Rainbow sprinkles, crushed Oreos and choc chip biscuits, brownie bites, Milo, mini-M & M's, smarties, marshmallows, gummy bears, sour worms etc
Whipped cream and sauces such as chocolate, caramel, fudge, strawberry and butterscotch.
Ice cream flavour favourites like chocolate, strawberry, vanilla, cookie dough, choc mint, rainbow.
Can use sundae cups or can decorate waffle cones (recipe below)

Ice cream PARTY GAMES
Ice cream scavenger hunt: hide all the necessary items to make ice cream sundaes like ice cream scoops, bowls, spoons etc. Each child needs to find a bowl and spoon.
Ice cream /spoon or relay races: use hacky sacks / cotton buds/ large pom poms, put on spoon to have an ice cream and spoon race. In the summer months use water bombs on a scoop.
Pin the cherry on the sundae.
Blind taste test - guess the flavour of the ice cream.
Ice cream stacking game can be purchased from ebay , amazon or preferred retailer. It is fun, easy to play, each player takes a turn at scooping on top of each other. The higher you go the wobblier it becomes.
Ice cream CRAFT
Cut out cones from brown cardboard and glue to a piece of paper. Cut out circles from coloured cardboard or paper for the ice cream balls. Kids can glue the ice cream and decorate with glitter , pom poms , stickers , stars , beads etc.
You can make these before the party and string them together to make an ice cream garland/ banner for decorating.
Happy Party Prepping !
